Costa Rica sent one athlete to the 2013 Youth Parapan American Games in Buenos Aires. Swimmer Christiane Buchheim won three medals for her country: two silver (100 m backstroke S9 and 100 m breaststroke SB8) and a bronze (100 m freestyle S9). Her performance earned her country 14th place in the overall medals table.
